Before opening his private practice in Holt , Michigan, cosmetic dentist Dr. Edward Liu received his doctorate of dental surgery from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2000. Dr. Liu has since completed studies at the Misch Institute and received a Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), through which he has acquired particular expertise in the fields of sedation dentistry and dental implants. His experience in these areas allows him to offer excellent services and has helped him provide healthy smiles to numerous patients, many of whom were referred to him by other medical professionals. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Liu studied occlusion (the way in which the upper and lower teeth come together) at the Dawson Center, which is headed by Peter Dawson, arguably the most influential clinician in modern dentistry. Dr. Liu's other post-doctoral credentials include ACLS certification, CEREC® CAD/CAM certification, and orthodontic study through the Faculté for Orthodontic Research and Continuing Education (F.O.R.C.E.) program. Dr. Liu is currently a fellow at the Academy of General Dentistry and is completing studies at the Misch International Implant Institute.
In addition to staying abreast of the latest developments in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, Dr. Liu participates actively in many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the Michigan Dental Association.
